Fringe Sunday Craft Market

On an non-cat related note I am having a stall at the Craft Market on the Meadows as part of Fringe Sunday. The event is taking place on Sunday 10 August from 11am - 5pm and the craft market will be located just off North Meadow Walk (for a handy map click here) I will be sharing the stall with fellow Edinburgh illustrator Laurie Hastings and we will have a whole host of beautiful handmade goods on display: from bags and books, to prints and postcards and even hand screenprinted luggage labels! So come to the Meadows and enjoy some sunshine (hopefully), watch some comedy, listening to some music, soak up the atmosphere and of course visit Alice and Laurie and their lovely stall!

Location of Edinburgh Cats to date

I've created a map to show the location of cats I've had responses from to date. The search is now on to find cats for the areas not yet represented - spread the word if you know of a suitable moggie!

Evening News Feature

Many thanks to Linda Summerhayes at the Edinburgh Evening News for writing up a great feature for the Saturday edition of the paper. A copy of the article can be read here. Thanks too to fellow illustrator Catherine Rayner for the loan of her lovely cat Ena for the photo shoot (though alas Ena's photo wasn't used!) I've had a really good response to the article but am still on the hunt for more cats so please spread the word!

Welcome to Alice's Edinburgh Cats

Hello and welcome to Alice's Edinburgh Cats. I have created this blog to keep everyone who has kindly got involved updated about the project. I'd like to start by saying a big thank you to everyone who has emailed me information on their cats, I have loved getting your emails - there are certainly some very entertaining Edinburgh cats out there! One other thing, this is my first experience as a blogger so apologies in advance for any teething errors!
